Norland C.E. School Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is additional funding allocated to schools to improve outcomes for disadvantaged pupils, including those eligible for free school meals, looked after children, and children of armed service personnel.
At Norland CE, we use this funding strategically to address identified barriers to learning and to ensure that disadvantaged pupils make progress in line with, or exceeding, their peers nationally.
Our Approach
Our strategy is built upon three key principles:
-
High-Quality Teaching First
We prioritise high-quality, adaptive teaching across the school, recognising this as the most effective way to improve outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. -
Targeted Academic Support
Following careful needs analysis, we implement evidence-informed interventions to address gaps in learning. -
Wider Strategies
We provide pastoral support, enrichment opportunities and attendance support to remove non-academic barriers to success.
Funding allocation is informed by detailed assessment of need at whole-school, cohort and individual level. The impact of all provision is reviewed termly by senior leaders to ensure it delivers measurable improvements in progress, attainment and attendance, and represents value for money.
